How do I get started with DANS?
Call DANS or send an enquiry through our care assessment form. We will ask about your needs, your town and any funding you already have - Support at Home, NDIS, DVA or private. If you have not been assessed yet, we can point you to the right starting point, including My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.
Can DANS help me understand my funding options?
Yes. We work with every major funding pathway: Support at Home (the program that replaced Home Care Packages in November 2025), NDIS, DVA, Veterans' Home Care, iCare NSW and private care. Tell us your situation and we will explain what you may be eligible for and how to apply.
Can family members be involved in the care plan?
Yes. With your consent, family members can join care planning conversations, receive updates and help coordinate support. Many enquiries to DANS come from adult children organising care for a parent, and we are used to working that way.
