In home nursing that brings clinical care to you
Feel reassured with experienced registered nurses supporting your health at home.
We provide in-home nursing for older people, people with disability, and anyone needing clinical support - from health checks and care planning to medication support and post-hospital follow-up.

What is in-home nursing and how does DANS do nursing at home differently?
In-home nursing is clinical care from qualified registered nurses, in the place most people feel most comfortable: their own home.
For some people, nursing support may be needed temporarily following surgery, illness or hospital discharge. Others may require more ongoing assistance to manage chronic health conditions, medications, wounds or changing care needs. Receiving nursing support at home can help reduce disruption, avoid unnecessary hospital visits and provide greater confidence for both individuals and families.
Every person's needs are different. Nursing isn't only about clinical care, it's about understanding the person behind it. Our team takes the time to understand routines, preferences and health circumstances to create support that feels personal, respectful and reassuring.
No two care plans look the same. Whether your needs are simple or complex, we work closely with you, your family and your doctors so care stays tailored and coordinated.
Experienced nurses, caring for you in your own home.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Questions about in home care, funding, and getting started? We've answered the ones we hear most.
What nursing care can DANS provide at home?
DANS Registered Nurses provide clinical care at home: diabetes support, wound care, medication management, health monitoring, post-surgery and post-hospital care, chronic condition support and more complex care requirements. Nursing care is available short-term or ongoing.
Why is nurse-led care important?
Nurse-led care means a Registered Nurse assesses your needs, builds the care plan and monitors it - so clinical problems are picked up early, not after they become emergencies. It also gives families confidence that nothing medical is missed between GP visits.
Can nursing care be provided alongside everyday support?
Yes. Nursing visits combine with personal care, domestic assistance, transport and in-home respite under one plan. Many clients have a weekly nurse visit alongside daily care worker support - one provider, one plan, one point of contact.
Can a nurse manage my catheter at home?
Yes. DANS registered nurses can provide catheter care at home where it is clinically appropriate and in line with your treating team’s plan. This may include catheter checks, routine changes, drainage bag care, skin monitoring and education for family. We also watch for concerns such as blockage, leakage, pain, fever or signs of infection.
Do you provide VAC and complex wound dressings at home?
Yes. DANS can coordinate in-home negative-pressure wound therapy, often called VAC therapy, and complex wound dressings when suitable for your clinical needs and treatment plan. A registered nurse assesses the wound, follows the prescribed dressing regime, monitors healing and escalates concerns to your GP, surgeon or wound specialist. Availability is confirmed during assessment.
Can you administer insulin at home?
Yes. DANS registered nurses may administer insulin at home when it forms part of an approved care plan and the required clinical assessment has been completed. We can assist with safe administration, blood glucose monitoring, documentation and recognising when medical advice is needed. Your insulin prescription, dosing instructions and treating clinician remain central to the plan.
Do you provide stoma and bowel care?
Yes. DANS can provide in-home stoma and bowel care through registered nurses and suitably trained support staff, depending on the care required. Support may include stoma bag changes, skin care, monitoring output, bowel routines and practical education. We work with your GP, specialist nurse or hospital team where instructions or escalation are needed.
